From age 19 to age 25 I was at least 30 pounds over weight. During that time I tried lots of different diets without success. This last fall (October 2008) I came across something new called The Day Off Diet and I decided to try that out because it looked like it would be easy to follow and it also looked like it was different than any diet I had tried before. I thought that since none of the other diets I had tried had worked, I should try something that's totally different.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And guess what? I was right! It's now January 2009 and I've done it. I've lost 40 pounds and I'm at my goal weight (which is 115 pounds.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I decided to start this blog as an inspiration to other people who are struggling to lose weight and also as a reminder to myself to not gain the weight back! (Keeping the weight off is just as important as losing it the in the first place.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In particular I want to inspire my sister who just started The Day Off Diet too because she saw how well I did with it. She has a little bit more weight to lose than I did (about 65 pounds) but I'm sure she can do it too! She's set a goal of reaching her goal weight by July and I think she can do it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I'll be reporting on her progress too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why doesn't she make a blog herself? I tried to get her to! Trust me. But she's a bit of a "technophobe" and gets freaked out working with things like this. She will be reading it though. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Hi Sis!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well best of luck to everyone out there who is looking to lose weight! You can do it!
